1. Consider the Color Combination
Think about all your favorite fruits and the color of their texture. Choose those that come in a variety of colors and scatter them all throughout a serving dish.
You have to include fruits that come in big blocks of color, and place a fruit that has contrasting color next to it. Let the colors of the fruits be the center of attraction.
2. Use All Parts of the Fruit
Shells, stems and even the rinds of a fruit can make your fruit platter look pretty interesting. If for example you’re using a pineapple, chop the top part of it and use the leaves as the centerpiece. Fruits are juicy, and that is why most people it, however this also makes it very messy. Therefore, you have to make sure to use a dish that has ridges, or a lip, enough to catch any juices that come out. This is very important, especially if you are carrying the dishes. Of course, you would not want the watermelon juice to be dripping down.
