How To Make A Successful Fruit Platter

There are so many tips, which can be followed to make a fruit platter look beautiful for any given occasion. Here are some of them:

1. Consider the Color Combination

Think about all your favorite fruits and the color of their texture. Choose those that come in a variety of colors and scatter them all throughout a serving dish.

You have to include fruits that come in big blocks of color, and place a fruit that has contrasting color next to it. Let the colors of the fruits be the center of attraction.

2. Use All Parts of the Fruit

Shells, stems and even the rinds of a fruit can make your fruit platter look pretty interesting. If for example you’re using a pineapple, chop the top part of it and use the leaves as the centerpiece. Or you may hollow out the bottom part, leaving all sides intact and fill it up with berries and nuts. If you use a watermelon, you can hollow out its bottom part and fill it up with melon balls. Be more creative, by carving it out to make it look like a basket.

3. Chop Fruits in bite size shapes

Making melon balls can be very difficult but it is just so worth it. They look so nice especially when all of them have roughly the same shape and sizes. However, if you don’t have that much patience, just make sure to cut your fruits in bite sized pieces. That way, it will be easy to scoop it up.

4. Use a Serving Dish with Ridges

Fruits are juicy, and that is why most people it, however this also makes it very messy. Therefore, you have to make sure to use a dish that has ridges, or a lip, enough to catch any juices that come out. This is very important, especially if you are carrying the dishes. Of course, you would not want the watermelon juice to be dripping down.

5. Be Adventurous

There are many classic fruit staples that are available now, but it would be interesting to come up with some new fruits available. Examples are the kiwi fruits or if you’ve never had star fruit, try using this uniquely shaped fruit! It

Create Fruit Salads For A Change

Every time we hear the word “salad,” what usually comes to our mind is, “lettuce”. And even if lettuce is a great ingredient of a good salad, it is not necessary. Salads are actually made up of anything, but fruit is a great substitute.

From the name itself, a fruit-based salad consists of different kinds of fruits that are mixed altogether. You may also include lettuce and some veggies, too. But usually, the most important ingredients are a variety of fruits. Just consider your entire favorite fruits, imagine them combined into a bowl, topped with cream or milk, and that makes a very delicious salad.

Although preparing this salad is just so easy, there is actually an even faster way of preparing it. Just go to your nearest grocery store and buy a can of mix fruits. Just drain the fruits, then pour them on a mixing bowl and pour the toppings, so your salad will be even tastier. Examples of these toppings are cream topping, yogurt, milk, raisins, peanuts and many more.

Most people prefer their salad to be healthier, so try adding freshly picked fruits to your salad. Examples are apples, bananas and even strawberries. You may also try mangoes, watermelon, and apples or any of your favorite fruits.

This dessert is fit for any occasion or it may also serve as a side dish. It is also a great addition to any meal – breakfast, lunch or dinner. Some people, especially those who are on a diet even eat it all by itself to fight hunger at any given time.

These salads have different varieties. There’s the citrusy salad that’s, made up of citrus fruits. Common examples of these are oranges, lime and lemons. All these three fruits will definitely produce a great citrus salad. Add your favorite toppings to it, too. This will surely leave your kids asking a couple more serving.

There is also another type that is consisting of rare fruits. But these fruits actually are becoming very popular now. These kinds of fruits aren’t that familiar to most people yet. Examples are the pomegranate and kiwi. These fruits are now being sold on some supermarkets. They’re actually delicious and this salad comes first when it comes to presentation for the fruits are well arranged, making it more attractive.

Again, to prepare a salad is very simple. Just come up with your favorite fruits of different variety – apples, grapes, strawberries, cherries, and oranges, then you already have the perfect salad to serve. Either you’ll use any of those canned mix fruits or those extravagant rare fruits, your salad will still be a perfect dessert that everyone can enjoy!

Don’t limit yourself to salad greens when eating; there are lots of other varieties like a fruit salad which can be equally satisfying and delicious too.
